Levon Aronian scores first victory during Russian team chess championship

YEREVAN, 2 MAY, ARMENPRESS. Levon Aronian, the leading player of Armenia’s national chess team, scored his first victory during the team chess championship in Russia.
Aronian, who is playing for the Sibir team, won Alexander Motilyov with white figures in the first round, while the team’s other player, Vladimir Kramnik lost. This victory helped Aronian’s team (Novosibirsk’s Sibir team) win Sverdlovsk’s Malakhit team 3.5:2.5.
As “Armenpress” reports, Levon Aronian was the best out of all the players on the board in the World Team Chess Championship.
