YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the suggestion on concluding the agreement “On the Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation in the Issue of the Extension of Period of Exploitation of the Second Energy Block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant”.

As reports “Armenpress”, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Khachatran introduced the issue at the course of the session of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. According to the agreement, the Russian side provides a state export credit of up to USD 270 million to the Armenian side for financing the activities aimed at the extension of the power plant’s period of exploitation.
