Armenia’s Prime Minister and Romanian Ambassador discuss joint programs prospects

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS:  The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan on February 4 hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Armenia Sorin Vasile.

The Department for Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia informed  “Armenpress” that the Head of the Government congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of the beginning of his diplomatic mission, wished him success. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the diplomat will strengthen friendly ties between the two peoples by his work activities and will give new impetus to the Armenian-Romanian cooperation.

The Ambassador, thanking for the reception, assured that at the course of his officiating   he will exert all his efforts in favor of activating and strengthening bilateral ties.

The interlocutors held a discussion on the prospects of the development of economic relations between Armenia and Romania, areas as well as realization of joint programs for that aim. In terms of the full realization of the current potential the sides attached importance to the activity of Armenian- Romanian inter-Governmental Commission, activation of business ties, organization of business conferences. The sides stressed the significant role of the Armenian community in Romania in making bilateral relations closer.
