Necessity to send peacekeepers of CSTO to Nagorno-Karabakh not to arise

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS.  A necessity to send peacekeepers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to the territory of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh has never arisen. Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Nikolay Bordyuzha underscored it giving an answer to the journalists’ question at the course of Yerevan-Moscow-Astana-Kiev video.

“A necessity to send peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to Transnistria and the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh has never arisen. The Russian peacekeeping forces in Transdniestria successfully carry out their task. Nagorno - Karabakh has a special status and  the decisions related to it, are possible only in case of the existence of the agreement between the two countries. It has been never arisen a task to send peacekeepers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to any area where there is a frozen conflict,” Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Nikolay Bordyuzha pointed out as reported by Armenpress, adding that it can as well be connected with the fact that CSTO peacekeeping forces were formed a few years ago and now they are passing through a process of military preparedness.
