Serzh Sargsyan voted for secure Armenia

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARMENPRESS: Armenia's presidential candidate, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan and First Lady Rita Sargsyan fulfilled their civic duty at 9/11 polling station located in Yerevan school N24 after Suren Spandaryan. Serzh Sargsyan told the reporters he has casts his vote for secure Armenia. He stated: "I have voted for the secure Armenia and safety of the citizens and families as well." As Armenpress reports, to the reporters' question what is his assessment of the election procedure and whether the call for fair elections had been realized, Serzh Sargsyan was quoted as saying: "The election results will show."

Polling station chairman Arevhat Ghazaryan stated 1335 voters are registered in 9/11 precinct. 155 citizens have already voted at 12:00 am. Serzh Sargsyan was the 153rd voter, Armenpress reports.
It is already the sixth time the citizens of the Republic of Armenia are participating in Presidential elections. The total number of the voters included in the voters' register of the Republic of Armenia is 2.505.980 by February 17. 1988 polling stations of 41 electoral districts are open by 08:00.There are seven contenders running for president in the Republic of Armenia. The names of the presidential candidates are introduced in the alphabetical order in the ballots. They are as follows: Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Raffi Hovhannisian, Andrias Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Vardan Sedrakyan.
