In coming 50 years Armenia will not have problem concerning salt shortage

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan on July 28 visited CJSC “Avan Salt combine”, walked around the territory, and got acquainted with the investment programs of the company.

The director of “Avan Salt combine” Areg Ghukasyan told Armenpress that the combine produces both food and technical salt.

“In order to keep the competitiveness of our good and quality we began two new programs.

We cooperate with a Swiss company in part of building a new factory the project of which we have already ordered. We hope we will manage to implement it in 3-4 years” he said.

Ghukasyan mentioned that for having raw material is planned to construct underground wells. The Minster of Economy Tigran Davtyan mentioned that the salt combine had been able to implement essential works of modernization. It had been able to secure not only profitability but also add the volumes.

“What wee saw gives enough bases to be sure that the enterprise can successfully implement various programs and the Government will be able to support” said the Minister.
