RPA continues implementing systemic reforms under the head of President: Sharmazanov

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS:Republican Party of Armenia continues implementing systemic reforms under the head of President Serzh Sargsyan. The goal of these reforms is consolidation of Armenia based on more democratic and national merits, Secretary of RPA faction Edward Sharmazanov stated today at the National Assembly, adding that the democratic merits have no alternative for us, and organization of fair and transparent elections is of utmost importance in this context. "The reforms will be continued in the economic sphere as well, it is not casual that the President stressed that the development of economy is an issue of national security," said Sharmazanov.

According to him, last year Armenia was, in all appearances, the only country of the world, which registered progress by all the indexes defining the economic freedom.

Referring to the draft budget 2012, Sharmazanov stressed that it has a distinct social inclination, where no social program will be reduced; moreover, the family and social allowances will be increased by about 10%. "We perfectly realize that this is not enough for solving the issues of socially insecure classes, but we are resolute in taking steps for improving the social state of society," stressed Secretary of RPA.
