RA Ambassador Hands Credentials to President of Ethiopia

YEREVAN, APRIL 1, ARMENPRESS: Armen Melkonyan, the Republic of Armenia ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (residence in Cairo), handed today his credentials to President of Ethiopia Girma Wolde-Giorgis in Addis Ababa.

An official from the press, information and PR department of the RA foreign affairs ministry told Armenpress that after the ceremony of handing credentials, Ambassador Armen Melkonyan and President Girma Wolde-Giorgis had a private talk, during which they mentioned that the historical spiritual-cultural contacts are a basis for developing a mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Ethiopia in various spheres.

The age-long significant investment of the Armenian community to Ethiopia in the country’s public-cultural life was emphasized as well. A number of international and regional issues were discussed at the meeting.

President of Ethiopia Girma Wolde-Giorgis asked to convey his warmest greetings, wishes, as well as the readiness to deepen and develop the friendly relations with Armenia to the president of Armenia.
