YEREVAN, APRIL 25, ARMENPRESS. Peacekeepers of the Russian Federation are taking steps to resolve the situation created after the establishment of a checkpoint by Azerbaijan in the Lachin Corridor, Lusine Avanesyan, the spokesperson of Artsakh president, told ARMENPRESS.

"Parallel with the development of the situation, information will be provided," added Avanesyan.

On April 23, Azerbaijan installed a checkpoint in the Lachin corridor, on the bridge of Hakari. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Artsakh have issued statements condemning this move by Azerbaijan, stressing that it contradicts the trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020. The US, France, Russia, and the EU have also expressed concern about the fact that Azerbaijan has set up a checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor.
