Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, described the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan as encouraging, ARMENPRESS reports Klaar wrote about this on his Twitter page. Klaar emphasized that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan had an important meeting in Washington yesterday.

“Important meeting took place yesterday between Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers in Washington. It is encouraging that Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov are engaged in a substantive process of negotiations for a bilateral peace treaty”, Klaar wrote.

Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a meeting on November 7 in the US capital, Washington. The ministers were hosted at Blair House, where a joint meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was also held.
