Withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenia’s territory key issue on agenda – deputy FM

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The elimination of various consequences of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia and Artsakh, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from Armenia’s territory and the final settlement of the conflict are among the key issues on the Armenian agenda, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan said during the joint session of the parliamentary standing committees.

“Among the priority issues of the cooperation agenda for Armenia are the activities in directions as the intensification of the political dialogue, the elimination of various consequences of the aggression unleashed against Armenia and Artsakh, firstly the humanitarian issues, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from our territory, the final settlement of the conflict and the provision of humanitarian assistance”, the deputy FM said.

At the same time, the deepening of sectoral cooperation with the European Union and all structures of the EU, the complete implementation of the commitments assumed by legal documents, the expansion of legal-contractual framework and of course, overcoming the economic shocks are among the priority issues of the agenda.

In 2023 the Armenia-EU statutory bodies are expected to hold sessions. The session of the Armenia-EU Partnership Council will be held in Brussels. The Partnership Committee’s session will also take place in Brussels. Yerevan will host the meeting of the Partnership Committee in Trade Configuration, as well as the meetings of different subcommittees will take place in Yerevan and Brussels.
