No step has been taken and will not be taken without Artsakh’s decision - Armenian Speaker of Parliament 

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The authorities of Artsakh have always been reported on the details of the negotiation process, Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan told reporters today.

“There has not been any issue of withdrawing or not withdrawing from the status of Artsakh and no such promise has been made. The talk has always been about rights. Rights are very different, and in order not to get the impression that the so-called “bad” authorities are preparing some kind of conspiratorial documents, we have always provided the whole information to the Artsakh side, and the opinion of Artsakh has been decisive while making decisions. Now we are taking one step forward in this matter and are trying to return Artsakh to the negotiations table, so that there is no other issue, conditionally, one opinion is voiced from Artsakh and another from the National Assembly”, the Speaker said.

He added that the authorities of Artsakh have always been informed about everything. “They have been informed and have agreed because there is no other option in reality and cannot be. Let me say more that sometimes our colleagues from Artsakh have warned that they have concerns regarding the security of Armenia, they have warned and exchanged information. Let’s fix it once and for all: no step has been taken and will not be taken without the decision of Artsakh”, he said.
