Armenia will not give a corridor through its territory, says PM

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced once again that Armenia will not give a corridor through its territory.

“We have a clear discussion with all our allies on this issue and have a common perception, in my assessment, also with the international community. There is no country speaking about a corridor during the discussions with us. If there is any country that will try to speak about it, we will not do that discussion because we are not discussing such an issue. What corridor? Who invented that corridor? Where is corridor written? Azerbaijan says according to Point 9th of the 2020 November 9 [statement]. That Point 9th is a published point. I call on all literate people around the world to find that word “corridor” in Point 9th”, the PM said during the Q&A session in the Parliament.

He reminded that on January 11, 2021, a new trilateral statement was signed over the implementation of Point 9th, which said what Point 9th means and what it is about. “Let me tell you a secret. We have presented a new package of proposals to Azerbaijan in the format of the trilateral working group, and I also handed over that proposal to the President of Azerbaijan in Brussels. As soon as they accept that proposal, we are ready to immediately start its implementation. That proposal is about all our public statements that we are ready to open roads and give and receive”, the PM stated.
