Protesters angry over armistice conditions gather outside parliament again

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Protesters angry over the conditions of the Karabakh armistice have again gathered outside the parliament building in central Yerevan, demanding lawmakers to convene a session and annul the deal.

One of the protesters, Artur Grigoryan, claims that the armistice has yet to be approved by parliament in order to take effect. Speaking on behalf of the demonstrators, he said they want lawmakers to arrive to parliament and declare the armistice as null and void, and then step down.

“I am asking all members of parliament, especially the [ruling] My Step bloc lawmakers, to come to parliament. I assure you, we will do everything to ensure your safety,” he said.

However, it appears that the demonstrators include various groups who don’t always concur with one another. One of the protesters told another one : “You are simply an instigator here, nothing else”.

Another group of demonstrators blocked the Baghramyan Avenue.
