Speaker of Parliament undergoes surgery for “non-life threatening” injuries sustained during assault
05:56, 10 November 2020YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan is undergoing surgery for the injuries he suffered when protesters assaulted him outside the parliament building following the Karabakh ceasefire deal.
PM Nikol Pashinyan said that Mirzoyan’s life is not in danger.
Hundreds of protesters stormed the parliament building and the government headquarters in Yerevan following the announcement of the Karabakh deal, which PM Pashinyan described as “painful” but necessary.
