YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Amid the ongoing Azerbaijani attack on Artsakh, President Arayik Harutyunyan met with the first volunteers who came forward to join the country’s troops in defending Artsakh.

President Harutyunyan assured that the country’s military is firmly standing in their positions and that the countermeasures will be appropriate.

“Today early in the morning the enemy launched massive artillery attacks at the entire length of the line of contact and in the direction of many civilian settlements. We advise the population to shelter in place and remain calm,” Harutyunyan said.

“Moments ago I met with our first volunteers. I assure you, our Armed Forces are firmly standing in their positions and we will respond appropriately. The entire responsibility of the situation falls on Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership and they will answer for every loss. This is a fight for life or death, which we accept as a nation and as a nation we will triumph.”
