YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Rescue Service Director Major General Vrezh Gabrielyan finds human factor to be the cause of the fire at Dolmama restaurant’s roof.

“It is definitely a result of human factor”, he told reporters at the scene where numerous firefighters are tackling the blaze.

“Meaning, technically it is possible that the wires weren’t connected accurately, or the fire safety rules were violated”, he said, indicating that the cause of the blaze could’ve been unintentional. He did not mention arson.

He said soon the firefighters will contain the fire.

He said there are a lot of wooden materials on the roof.

Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan is also personally on the scene.

Tsolakyan said there are no injuries.

The roof of one of the most high-end restaurants in Yerevan – Dolmama – is ablaze.

Multiple firefighting teams are on the scene.

The restaurant is located at 10 Abovyan Street in downtown Yerevan and is known for high-profile patrons, including visiting foreign dignitaries and stars.
