YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee under the defense ministry Avetik Kerobyan and Chessify director Gor Vardanyan, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

The Chessify chief introduced the President on the company’s activity directions and programs, stating that the IT company is engaged in development of technological solutions in the field of chess by using the elements of artificial intelligence. The company is also developing programs to use the tools of artificial intelligence in other sectors as well.

The meeting touched upon the cooperation opportunities within the framework of the presidential initiative ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) dedicated to science and technology development in Armenia. Armen Sarkissian said this presidential initiative aims at bringing international major technological companies to Armenia which will jointly carry out scientific research and other projects with the Armenian companies via joint enterprises.

It was stated that the implementation of ATOM will not only contribute to Armenia’s technological development, but also will create new opportunities for the local companies operating in the aforementioned fields.
