Argentine Senate adopts Armenian Genocide centenary statement
BUENOS AIRES, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS: The Senate of Argentina has unanimously adopted a statement on the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, which reaffirms the viewpoint and position of Argentina on the first genocide of the 20th century.
Armenpress reports, citing the PrensaArmenia.com.ar that the statement stresses that April 24 will continue to be considered a day of respect and tolerance between peoples in Argentina and the memory of 1,5 million Armenian Genocide victims will be commemorated. “The Armenian Cause is still a burning and bleeding wound. And notwithstanding the recognition statements by the modern civilizations and different countries, it remains one of the unsettled issues of the humanity”, - says the statement.
