This is what Head of the Department of Information and News of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Babayan said as he presented the NA Speaker’s stance on the beating against Deputy Aram Manukyan in an interview with “ArmenPress”. “I must say that Mr. Sahayan has had a telephone conversation with Deputy Aram Manukyan and has asked about his state of health. The Speaker of the National Assembly has received more detailed information about the incident from Aram Manukyan. I must also note that the proceedings of the criminal case instigated in relation to the incident are in the focus of the NA Speaker, and Mr. Sahakyan has already talked to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia about it.

Taking into consideration the fact that a criminal case has already been instigated, I must mention that we simply need to let the corresponding authorities solve the case,” Babayan said.
