Lithuania’s recognition of Armenian Genocide proves commitment to justice: FM
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius on October 24, who has arrived in Yerevan with an official visit. The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that welcoming the guest, Edward Nalbandian said:
“I should state with content that the relations between Armenia and Lithuania are being developed very dynamically. We have opened embassies in the capitals of the two countries. The number of the mutual visits between Armenia and Lithuania has considerably increased. And we are interested to preserve this dynamics of the continuative development of the Armenian-Lithuanian relations. Thus the relations between our countries will continue deepening and expanding”.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reminded that Lithuania belongs to the countries, which have officially recognized the Armenian Genocide. Edward Nalbandian said that the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Seimas in 2005 proved once more the Lithuanian nation’s commitment to the humanity values and justice.
