Armenia’s free economic jewelry zone found first 7 beneficiaries

YEREVAN, APRIL 28, ARMENPRESS. Seven jewelry companies expressed their readiness to deploy their business in the free economic zone to be created in Armenia. As reports “Armenpress”, the organizer of the free economic jewelry zone “AJA free economic zone” CJSC President Artak Udumyan and the jewelry companies signed a cooperation agreement, according to which the companies became the first beneficiaries of the free economic zone. According to the agreement the free economic zone is obliged to initiate and provide the zone with the appropriate infrastructure and carry out its management, and the exploiting side in its turn expresses readiness to rent an area in the free economic zone to carry out activities in the gold, diamond, watch manufacturing fields. After signing the agreement “AJA free economic zone” President Artak Udumyan noted that although the repairment works of the free economic zone are not yet completed, it does not hinder the agreement with the beneficiaries. "It is gratifying that a month after the Government's decision we already have the first beneficiaries. Their number was quite large, but today only 7 companies were able to be present at the signing of the agreement, and the agreement with the other companies will be signed in May" - said Udumyan.
