9:1 - Armenia suffers worst loss in history in Italy EURO 2020 qualifier

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian National Football Team lost 9:1 to Italy in the EURO 2020 qualifier in Palermo.

This is the worst defeat of the Armenian team in its history.

After this match Armenia is second to last in the EURO 2020 J group.

The only goal in this match for Armenia was scored by Edgar Babayan.

Italy’s Ciro Immobile and Nicolò Zaniolo scored twice.

This qualifier match has been described by The Guardian as “Italyproduced the biggest win against European opposition in their history”.
