US Senator Menendez calls for immediate passage of Armenian Genocide resolution

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Bob Menendezin his remarks criticized Turkey’s attacks on Kurds in Syria and its impermissible behavior in the region in general, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reported.

Senator Menendez said the Senate should immediately pass a resolution on the Armenian Genocide by following the example of the House of Representatives.

Bob Menendezalso reminded the attack by Erdogan’s security guards on the peaceful protesters in Washington D.C., adding that after the US House vote on recognizing the Armenian Genocide Turkey spares no efforts to ban the adoption of a similar resolution in the Senate. The Senator said Ankara knows that if the resolution is put up to voting in the Senate, it will be passed.

The Senator said the Senate should immediately recognize the Armenian Genocide.
