State Oversight Service studies financial activities of NSS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 28, ARMENPRESS. The State Oversight Service is studying the financial activities of the National Security Service (NSS), NSS Acting Director Eduard Martirosyan told reporters in response to questions.

“The State Oversight Service, as part of its functions, is studying our financial activities, probably for the last two-year period,” he said. He reassured that these studies are not related to former Director Artur Vanetsyan.

Martirosyan also denied rumors about a possible investigation or even arrest of Vanetsyan. “Who is spreading these rumors? What arrest are they talking about?”

Vanetsyan stepped down as NSS Director on September 16th after serving in the position for 1 year and 4 months.
