Former Police Chief Hayk Harutyunyan questioned in 2008 March 1 investigation as witness

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Former Police Chief of Armenia Hayk Harutyunyan, who was found shot dead in his home on September 23, has been questioned over the 2008 March 1 case as a witness, Spokesperson of the Special Investigation Service Marina Ohanjanyan told Armenpress.

“We do not release any other details yet”, she said.

Hayk Harutyunyan served as Police Chief of Armenia from 2003 to 2008 (until May 29, 2008).

His body was found with a gunshot wound to the head on September 23.

Criminal case has been launched into the incident.
