First deputy named acting Police Chief

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Colonel Arman Sargsyan, the First Deputy Police Chief of Armenia, is currently the acting Police Chief after Valery Osipyan’s dismissal, police spokesperson Ashot Aharonyan told reporters.

Aharonyan said Osipyan held a meeting with the senior officials of the police force and thanked everyone for the joint work.

“Now Osipyan is among the veterans of the police,” Aharonyan said.

Osipyan was sacked as Police Chief earlier on September 18 by PM Nikol Pashinyan after tendering his resignation.
