Armenia’s Supreme Judicial Council receives delegation of Venice Commission

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Meeting with the delegation of the Venice Commission, an advisory body of the Council of Europe, took place in Armenia’s Supreme Judicial Council, the SJC told Armenpress.

The delegation members were hosed by President of the Council Ruben Vardazaryan, members of the Council Liparit Melikjanyan, Grigor Bekmezyan, Ani Mkhitaryan, Vigen Kocharyan and Hayk Hovhannisyan.

The meeting participants discussed the implementation strategy of judicial and anti-corruption reforms, the mission of the Council in this process and a number of issues relating to the role of the Venice Commission on key matters of judicial system.

The sides also exchanged views on cooperation and other sectoral issues.
