British Airways pilots’ strike leads to cancellation of 1500 flights

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. British Airways was forced to cancel 1500 flights due to a pilot’s strike which began overnight September 9 and will continue for two days.

The strike might become the biggest one in the airline’s history and will affect 280,000 passengers, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The pilots on strike are protesting for higher wages and improvement of working conditions.

British Airways captains are receiving on an average 205,000 dollars annually.
