Common electricity market in EAEU to enter into force until January 1, 2025

YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS. Deadline for launching EAEU common electricity market is set as of January 1, 2025. The decision was made in Kyrgyzstan during a discussion in the sidelines of the EEC Advisory Committee on Electricity.

ARMENPRESS reportsEEC MinisterforEnergyandInfrastructure Emil Kaykiev said the common electricity market will positively impact on the cost price of energy production and will strengthen the energy security of the EAEU member states.

In May 2019 the Supreme Eurasian Economic Councilsigned the agreement on establishing a common electricity market.
