NATO sees NK conflict settlement only through peaceful means

YEREVAN, MARCH 11, ARMENPRESS. The position of the NATO is that Nagorno Karabakh conflict can have no military solution, ARMENPRESS reports James Appathurai,NATO Secretary General's Special Representativefor theCaucasus and Central Asia said in a press conference on March 11.

“It’s undeniable that the NATO is directly interested in peace and security. We are encouraged by the fact that the new Government of Armenia makes new efforts for the peace process. We are also encouraged by the significant decline of tension on the contact line. The assessment of the NATO is that this conflict can be settled through exclusively peaceful means. A military solution cannot be a successful one”, Appathurai said.
