SRC Chairman of Armenia, Head of Italy’s Revenue Agency discuss cooperation prospects

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Davit Ananyan is in Italy on a two-day working visit, the SRC told Armenpress.

In Rome Davit Ananyan met with Director General of the Revenue Agency of Italy Antonino Maggiore during which they discussed the cooperation issues between the two structures, in particular, within the frames of the Tax Inspectors Without Borders program.

Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) is a joint initiative of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supporting countries in building tax audit capacity. TIWB Programmes complement the broader efforts of the international community to strengthen co-operation on tax matters and contribute to the domestic resource mobilisation efforts of developing countries.

At the same time, the two officials also discussed the SRC’s role in this program. Davit Ananyan and Antonino Maggiore signed a statement on Intentions to launch the program in Armenia.

During the visit the SRC Chairman is also expected to meet with the Armenian Ambassador to Italy.
