Foreign ministry organizes video call between Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan and families

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS. The ministry of foreign affairs of Armenia organized a video call on December 14 for peacekeepers stationed in Afghanistan and their families back home.

The video call was held within the framework of the NATO Week, which began in Armenia on December 13.

Deputy FM Ashot Hovakimyan delivered remarks, highlighting the participation and contribution of Armenian peacekeepers in international peace and security and thanked them and their families for dedication.

Hovakimyan mentioned that the participation of Armenian peacekeepers in these missions contribute to the increase of Armenia’s international reputation, as well as strengthening of security of the country.

Colonel Vaghinak Sargsyan, Commander of the Armenian peacekeeping brigade, was next to take the floor and greet the peacekeepers, thanking them for their service.
