Turkey’s Erdogan calls on Islamic world to recognize Jerusalem as Palestinian capital

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the Muslim states to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, Hurriyet reports.

During the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, Erdogan once again stated that US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has no legal force. He again called Israel a “terrorist state”.

“As the United States you can be a powerful country, can have weapons, numerous jets. But this doesn’t mean that you are strong. If you are not fair, you are not strong as well”, Erdogan said.

US President Donald Trump on December 6 announced officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
