Ambassador Jonathan Lacôte assesses Armenian-French political ties as excellent

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Armenia in October 2018 on the sidelines of the Francophonie summit, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte said at a press conference, reports Armenpress.

“Traditionally, the French President will participate in the Francophonie summit which this time will be held in Armenia. This will be officially confirmed during 2018, but, we, of course, are already working to organize the visit of the French President”, the Ambassador said, adding that a busy year is expected to Armenia in 2018.

Jonathan Lacôte said his desire is to further deepen the Armenian-French ties. “The Armenian-French political relations are excellent, and I would like to develop them in two more spheres. These are the educational, university fields, and the economic field where there is a great potential for trade and investment”, he said.
