Government expects 55.4% foreign debt-GDP ratio indicator

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian government is expecting a 55,4% indicator for the foreign debt-GDP ratio by yearend, finance minister Vardan Aramyan said during parliamentary debates on amending the law on the budget system and the law on state debt.

“We plan to decrease this indicator by one percentage point in 2018”, the minister said in response to Vice Speaker Michael Melkumyan.

Melkumyan also asked the minister about the effective use of loans.

“All loan programs which are ineffective are being blacklisted. In terms of this Armenia is considered to be among the countries having the best indicator”, the minister said.
