Armenia’s Cenbank to introduce new composite banknotes

YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS. The Central Bank Council session was held on May 26 in Dilijan’s educational-research center, which was chaired by Central Bank president Arthur Javadyan.

Cenbank told ARMENPRESS the Council decided to introduce (put into circulation) new composite banknotes and announced a tender for the printing.

The new banknotes will have higher security measures and will be of better quality.

The Council also passed several other decisions, including revoking the licenses of several pawnshops, and granted Easy Pay LLC will issuing e-money.
