First Lady Rita Sargsyan donates hundreds of exhibits to Karen Demirjyan Museum

YEREVAN, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS. First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan donated Soviet-era exhibits to the Karen Demirjyan Museum.

The exhibits, which are a part of the temporary exhibition of the museum entitles ‘Exhibits tell about the USSR’, were acquired by the First Lady from Yerevan’s Vernissage.

“A man was selling these exhibits. I bought them, thinking they’ll be useful, and then I remembered the Karen Demirjyan Museum and I was pleased to donate these exhibits”, the First Lady told reporters while touring the Museum.

The 405 exhibits include stamps, coins and banknotes, clichés, pictures and more.

By the decision of the Karen Demirjyan Foundation Council, Rima Demirjyan – the widow of Karen Demirjyan, awarded the Karen Demirjyan Commemorative Medal to the First Lady.
