Turkish mafia mobster testifies in Hrant Dink murder case

YEREVAN, MAY 15, ARMENPRESS. Kursat Yilmaz, a top mobster of a Turkish organized crime syndicate who is serving a 66 year prison term, testified on Hrant Dink’s murder.

The mafia boss said Gulenists had urged him to murder Dink.

In his testominy, the mobster particularly said that Corporal Ahmet S. had requested him in Ankara to organize a meeting between him and Gulenist Imam Ismayil E.

“Ismayil spoke about Armenian journalist Hrant Dink in a hotel owned by the Gulenist community. The Gulenist Imam wanted me to be community’s mafia. Speaking on Dink, he said: “He is trying to create an Armenian lobby. He is putting the country in a difficult situation, we must kill him”, the mobster testified.

He also added that the same man wanted him to kill communist and Alevi activists, but he refused.

After the failed military coup in Turkey, authorities are attempting to accuse Fetullah Gulen and the Gulen movement in murdering Hrant Dink.
