11 people from Tsarukyan bloc request CEC to cancel ‘false’ mandate withdrawal applications

YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS. The Central Electoral Commission began discussing the withdrawal applications which were submitted after the April 2 parliamentary election.

CEC chairman Tigran Mukuchyan mentioned that applications included 9 from RPA, 3 from ARF and 23 from Tsarukyan bloc.

The list of application, which was released on May 2, remains unchanged.

Mukuchyan afterwards said that 11 people from the Tsarukyan bloc – Vahan Karapetyan, Khachik Manukyan, Napoleon Azizyan, Alik Yeghikyan, Sergey Bagratyan, Ararat Zurabyan, Mushegh Saghatelyan, Hrant Davtyan, Manuk Sukiasyan, Arthur Manukyan and Artyom Tsarukyan submitted applications to the CEC, whereby the they declared their previous applications to be cancelled and notified that they aren’t refusing from the mandates.

All applications, except from one, lack notary verification.

In their applications, the individuals state they haven’t submitted any previous application to the CEC on refusing from their mandates and those applications were false.

They requested the CEC to cancel the false refusal applications which were sent under their names.

The mentioned individuals or their representatives were participating in the session.

After examining the applications, Mukuchyan declared a 30 minute break, after which the re-formulated decision drafts and protocols will be presented.

On May 2, the CEC released the list of MPs who declared withdrawing their mandates.

Applications on refusing the mandates were received from the RPA, ARF and the Tsarukyan bloc.
