“We are all children of immigrants”, Hollywood superstar Barbra Streisand joins The Promise campaign

YEREVAN, APRIL 1, ARMENPRESS. Hollywood actress and singer Barbra Streisand has joined the advertising campaign of the Armenian Genocide film The Promise.

The premiere of the movie is scheduled for April 21.

“We are all children of immigrants. I am Barbra Streisand, and I vow to keep the promise to never forget”, Streisand said in a video posted on Facebook and Instagram.

Earlier tennis legend Andre Agassi and musician Elton John had joined the campaign.

The Promise, staring Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac, tells the story of the Armenian Genocide at the outset of World War I.

The late Armenian American billionaire Kirk Kirkorian financed the production of the film.
