Turkish soldiers kidnapped by Islamic State killed

YEREVAN, JANUARY 10, ARMENPRESS. Two Turkish soldiers who have been kidnapped during the ongoing Turkish military intervention in Syria, code-named by Turkey as OperationEuphrates Shield have been killed, according to the Turkish Hurriyet.

Contact with the soldiers was lost on November 29, 2016.

The Turkish intervention in the Syrian conflict began on August 24, 2016. With the pretext of fighting the Islamic State terrorist organization, Turkey is delivering the majority of strikes at the Kurds of Syria.
