Lydian International vows respecting environmental standards in Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Mining in Armenia has negative background. People think it negatively impacts on the environment. “Armenpress” reports President and Chief Executive Officer of “Lydian International” Howard Stevensonassured in a forum on mining industry that his company tries to prove the opposite by the example of Amulsar. “We respect international standards so as the mining industry is conducted on a high level from the environmental perspective”.

The “Amulsar” project is a major international investment program which will amount 370 million USD (construction period 2016-2018). Over 1300 people will be employed during the peak period of activities. Afterwards, 700 people will have permanent jobs during the upcoming 10 years.
