Nikita Simonyan awarded “For Services to Fatherland” medal

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. On October 26, football veteran of Yerevan’s Ararat FC Nikita Simonyan was awarded the “For Services to the Fatherland” medal, for significant contribution and excellent achievements in the development of Armenian football. The award ceremony took place in the Armenian Embassy in Russia, under the instruction of President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the embassy told ARMENPRESS.

Representatives of Armenian NGOs and communities were invited to the event.

Ambassador of Armenia to Russia Oleg Yesayan congratulated Nikita Simonyan on his 90th birthday and the high state award, and highlighted the unequaled role of the legendary football player in the development of Armenian football.
