CSTO heads of states to make decision over Secretary General’s candidacy

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, ARMENPRESS. CTSO heads of states will make a decision over the candidate of the Secretary General during the CSTO Collective Security Council session, reports “Armenpress”.

Earlier CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha said the name of the new Secretary General will be announced during CSTO Collective Security Council session in Yerevan on October 14, Armenia’s representative will assume the Secretary General’s post.

Issues related to the collective security and the CSTO crisis response center creation strategy until 2025, as well as the project on forming a common list of recognized terrorist organizations in the CSTO format will be discussed.

According to the CSTO Charter all member states must confirm the appointment of the new Secretary General who will led the organization for three years.

Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are CSTO member states.
