Two soldiers still in serious condition after April 4 Day War

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS. 9 soldiers who were wounded during the April War in Nagorno Karabakh have received disability status, and proceedings are carried out according to the law for 11 more soldiers for being ineligible for military service due to health conditions.
As a response to ARMENPRESS’s inquiry, Defense Ministry chief of staff Garnik Hayrapetyan said three are currently receiving treatment, two of whom are in serious condition.
He said 6 people are undergoing rehabilitation treatment in Armenia, and two abroad.
“122 servicemen were discharged from hospitals, and 11 are still on medical leave” Hayrapetyan said.
One serviceman needs further surgical intervention, who will undergo a hip replacement procedure.
Hayrapetyan said five servicemen received prosthesis due to amputation of limbs.
