Food Safety Service temporarily suspends sales of “Lida” weight-loss pills

YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, ARMENPRESS. The Food Safety State Service received an inquiry from “Investigating reporters” NGO regarding Chinese weight-loss pills sold in “Alpha-Pharm” Pharmacies under the label “Lida” produced by “Dai-Dai-hua”.

Based on the inquiry the Food Safety service examined the labeling and expiry date of the supplements.

80 packs of the “Lida” pills were discovered, and it was revealed that it doesn’t comply with the food safety requirements of the EEU.

It was also revealed that there is no information about such pills in the common register of the EEU, which is enough grounds to believe that the pills were not subjected to relevant evaluations and weren’t registered.

The Food Safety Service has suspended the sales of the “Lida” pills.
