YEREVAN, JULY 5, ARMENPRESS. On July 5 at the plenary session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s annual session, MP Michael Melkumyan, member of the Armenian delegation delivered a speech in response to Turkish and Azerbaijani delegates.

MP Melkumyan noted that the Aliyev’s leadership is responsible for the April Four Day War, which carried out inhumane and fascist operations against the peaceful population of Nagorno Karabakh, in particular in Talish, Mataghis, Martakert and several other settlements.

He emphasized that the Azerbaijanis have committed inhumane acts on the corpses of dead people: decapitations and mutilations. Similar incidents were also carried out on living people.

According to Melkumyan, it is impossible to not respond to these facts. The international community and structures must know and give concrete assessment to the happenings.

In Melkumyan’s opinion, from the OSCE Minsk Group side it is needed: One – Along the entire Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact investigative mechanisms for ceasefire violations to be installed and ensuing responsibility, two – Nagorno Karabakh must return to the negotiations table. Melkumyan also noted that Nagorno Karabakh is invincible.

The MP also opposed the recent disinformation on the Armenian Genocide issue by a member of the Turkish delegation, noting that Genocide does not require evidence, it is a fact, which has been recognized by many countries of the world, the recent being Germany, by the decision of Bundestag.

The representatives of Azerbaijan and Turkey were unable to respond to Michael Melkumyan’s questions.
