Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II receives Argentine National Bank’s President

YEREVAN, JUNE 22, ARMENPRESS. Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received President of the National Bank of Argentina Carlos Melconian on June 22 in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Welcoming the guests, Karekin II expressed satisfaction on the cooperation between the banking sectors of Armenia and Argentina.

He highly appreciated the active national-religious life of the Armenian community of Argentina. Recalling his visits to Argentina, he stated: “We are proud of our Argentine-Armenians who have an important input on the progress of Argentina’s life, and they are respected and loved citizens of the country”.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Carlos Melconian expressed his happiness on visiting the Motherland. He conveyed Karekin II the greetings and wishes of Argentine President Mauricio Macri.

They also spoke about Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to Armenia during the meeting.
