Abkhazia interested in restoration of railway communication

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Abkhazia Artur Mikvabia says Abkhazia is interested in the restoration of the railway passing through the territory of Russia to Georgia and Armenia, “Armenpress” reports, he said to RIA Novosti.

“I would like to say we are interested in this project. From the economic point of view, I think it is beneficial. However, Georgia is opposed to this which says it will not sign a contract with us considering that we must be a part of Georgia. In other words, the issue is of political nature. But I think that we should take into account the economic perspective”, he said.
